Today’s devotional is dedicated to singles. One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is discovering your God-ordained purpose before marriage. Many people assume they will “find themselves” after they marry, and while growth does happen in marriage, clarity beforehand is powerful. God designed you with intention long before a relationship entered the picture.
I can personally testify to this truth. I was privileged to know my purpose before I got married—I had already been serving in the drama ministry for 10 years. That foundation shaped my character, discipline, and vision. When I married, I entered the relationship with clarity and focus, knowing my calling and how marriage could complement it. Marriage has helped me expand my purpose, not define it.
Marriage itself is not your ultimate purpose; it is a platform that supports and advances your life assignment. When your calling is clear, you can choose a partner who complements—not competes with—your destiny. Pray, serve faithfully, and develop your gifts. Discovering your assignment before saying “I do” positions you for a stronger, purpose-driven marriage.

Oh Lord, help me choose relationship that align with You in Jesus name. Amen
