HANDLING FINANCIAL CRISIS IN THE FAMILY (PART 3)

Anchor Scripture: Hosea 4:6

” My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… “

Many financial struggles in Christian homes are not caused by the devil but by lack of knowledge. Ignorance of Kingdom financial principles can lead to repeated cycles of lack and frustration. God expects His children to grow in understanding, including how to manage resources wisely and intentionally.

Christian couples must go beyond prayer and begin to apply practical financial wisdom. Start by creating a clear family budget know your income, track your expenses, and allocate funds to needs first before wants. Build a saving culture, no matter how small the amount is. Avoid unnecessary debts, especially for non-essential things, and learn to live within your means. It is also important to have honest and regular financial discussions as a couple to ensure alignment and accountability.

Additionally, develop multiple streams of income where possible, invest wisely, and seek financial knowledge through books, teachings, and godly counsel. Practice generosity and faithful giving, as these are key Kingdom principles that invite God’s blessings. Teach your children financial responsibility early, so they grow with discipline. When knowledge is applied consistently, it produces stability and eventually leads to surplus. A wise and informed family will not only overcome financial crisis but will also build a legacy of stewardship and abundance.
