The Word of God is not a decoration for Sunday mornings; it is living, active, and transformative. Before God builds a marriage, He builds the man and the woman through His Word. Your character, convictions, and choices are shaped by what you consistently hear and study. A healthy marriage is simply the overflow of two people who have allowed Scripture to correct, prune, and mature them. The Word makes you before it makes your marriage.
For couples and singles alike, knowing the Word protects you from common relationship errors—unforgiveness, pride, impatience, unhealthy expectations, and emotional decisions. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” When Scripture guides you, you will not walk blindly into avoidable crises.
Singles are preserved from wrong foundations, and couples are guarded from silent destruction.
Create a disciplined culture of constant study in your home. Set a daily time to read, discuss, and pray the Word together. Let your children see you honor Scripture. If the Living Word dwells richly in your family (Colossians 3:16), that family will not collapse under pressure because its foundation is divine truth. Remember: The Bible is not an ancient museum; it is the living Word of God.
