Matthew 18:19 – “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”
One of the greatest blessings a family can have is a consistent prayer altar. Nothing should replace it—not even online prayer meetings. While online gatherings are helpful, they must never substitute the sacred moments a husband, wife, and children share before God at home. A family altar builds unity, sensitivity to the Spirit, and spiritual covering. A praying family is a protected family.
Scripture shows us that agreement in prayer releases divine intervention. When a family prays together, they invite God into their decisions, finances, health, and future. Challenges may come, but prayer strengthens the home to overcome them. The atmosphere of prayer keeps bitterness away and nurtures forgiveness, love, and peace.
During our courtship, my wife and I set aside specific days for prayer and fasting. We consistently prayed about our future, purpose, and home. That foundation has helped us remain aligned spiritually. Singles must cultivate the habit of praying together during courtship. If you do not build the discipline of praying together before marriage, it may become difficult afterward. A home that kneels together stands strong together.
