A relationship that is filled with confusion, inconsistency, and emotional instability cannot stand the test of time. God is not the source of confusion; therefore, anything that consistently produces unrest, doubt, and uncertainty is not aligned with His will. Relationships are meant to reflect God’s peace, clarity, and order, not emotional turmoil or constant uncertainty.
When confusion dominates a relationship, it becomes difficult to build trust, communicate effectively, or grow together in unity. James 3:16 reminds us that “where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.” This shows that confusion often stems from misplaced priorities, unchecked emotions, or lack of spiritual direction. Choosing peace means choosing honesty, clarity, and godly wisdom in how we relate with others.
God calls us to pursue peace intentionally. Romans 12:18 says, “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” This includes our relationships. When we choose peace over confusion, we create an environment where love can grow, understanding can flourish, and God’s presence can dwell. A peaceful relationship is not perfect, but it is guided by truth, patience, and mutual respect.
