Children are not accidents or burdens; they are a precious heritage and gift from God entrusted to parents and guardians. Because they belong to the Lord, they must be nurtured with intentional care, guidance, and godly instruction. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” This highlights the responsibility of parents to actively shape the direction of their children’s lives.
Leaving children unguided in today’s world exposes them to confusion, wrong influences, and spiritual danger. God designed the family as the first place of instruction, love, and discipline. Deuteronomy 6:6–7 instructs parents to diligently teach God’s commandments to their children in daily life—at home, on the way, and in every moment. Guidance is not occasional; it is consistent, intentional, and rooted in God’s Word.
When children are properly guided, they grow into responsible, godly, and purpose-driven individuals. Parental guidance provides structure, wisdom, and protection that help children fulfill their God-given destiny. A guided child becomes a blessing to their generation, but a neglected child struggles to find direction. Therefore, raising children is a sacred responsibility that requires prayer, patience, and dependence on God.
