God designed marriage to be more than a lifelong covenant; it is also a ministry of mutual support, where husband and wife strengthen one another through every season of life. Each partner is called to love sacrificially, encourage faithfully, and stand together through both joys and challenges. When couples embrace this divine responsibility, they reflect Christ’s love by serving one another with humility and grace. (Ephesians 5:21–33; Ecclesiastes 4:9–12.)
Supporting one another involves more than meeting physical needs. It means praying together, listening with compassion, offering wise counsel, celebrating each other’s victories, and providing strength during moments of weakness. Rather than keeping score or seeking personal advantage, godly spouses choose to lift each other up, knowing that a united marriage is stronger than two individuals striving alone. (Philippians 2:3–4; Romans 12:10.)
As you faithfully serve and support your spouse, your marriage becomes a testimony of God’s love and faithfulness. Ask the Lord to help you become a source of comfort, encouragement, and strength to one another every day. A marriage built on mutual care and Christlike service not only blesses the couple but also shines as a witness to the world of God’s beautiful design for marriage. (Colossians 3:12–14; John 13:34–35.)
