A home should be a sanctuary, a place of peace, safety, and God’s presence. Scripture declares in Book of Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” This is a deliberate choice every believer must make. A godly home is not built by chance but by commitment to God’s ways, inviting His presence daily and setting spiritual boundaries that honor Him.
We are also called to be vigilant and resist every scheme of the enemy. Epistle of James 4:7 instructs us to “submit yourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” The enemy seeks to sow discord, fear, and confusion, but through prayer, the Word, and unity, we can stand firm. Filling our homes with truth, worship, and love leaves no room for darkness to thrive.
Guarding your home requires intentional action and spiritual awareness. Epistle to the Ephesians 6:11 encourages us to “put on the whole armor of God” so we can stand against the enemy’s tactics. When we actively resist negativity, forgive quickly, and uphold righteousness, our homes become strongholds of God’s light and peace a true sanctuary where His glory dwells.
